| | Hello from The Town of Trees and Champions. I'm Karlene, not an artist as such, but a creator of original Canvas and Wood Block art with a difference. I've always been passionate about art and I absolutely love things that are original, eye-catching, simple yet different. My creations are done off the top of my head. I try not to make the exact same pieces, however, I will make similar creations using the same textures, styles and techniques.
Being a decent of Màori, I incorporate alot of our beautiful Màori designs and patterns into my art. This inspires me to be able to share a small piece of our unique culture with the rest of the world.
My Wood Block art is made from NZ Pine, stained to give a 'rimu' look and to bring out the detail in the grain. Sealed with a gloss sealant for protection. Embellishments vary. |
